Dear Middle Eastern friends,

I'm a Japanese chef, not a fighter. But in my mind, Our people and I are fighting every day against The American Diet;  How to Eat For Life? What am I eating?' We must fight against these. Our roots aren't samurai, but let our soul be a samurai.

ADDRESSING THE AMERICAN DIET

The very first thing Japan did was to focus on rice and noodles that is nutrient-deficient, high-calorie, in which Wikipedia and many scientific organizations called it 'empty-calorie' or 'junk food'. Somehow, it is the most ate food by everyone, even though it is deficient in nutrients and almost no fiber. Middle Eastern, including Asians are eating these rich carbohydrate and high-calorie foods while remaining inactive because of the nature and demand of their jobs and lifestyle. This is a dangerous and deadly combination!

Japan successfully transformed the nation's staple diet from one that was  influenced by The American Diet, which brings about MINDLESS eating ... to shift back to a MINDFUL yet healthy and delicious meal ... all within one generation.

Today, Japan has shown itself is, in fact, a model of how the whole staple food environments can change in a positive and unexpected way.

THE BIG QUESTION IS HOW ?

Today, Japan wishes every nation, especially the Middle Eastern to adopt a model of Eat For Life, i.e. a new eating pattern (not a 'Diet') to reduce your risk of developing heart disease, hypertension, various forms of cancer, dental caries, obesity, non insulin-dependent diabetes, osteoporosis, and chronic liver disease. Konnyaku Rice & Shirataki Noodle staple of the meal can change the well-being of a nation and their people in a positive and unexpected way.

Stop denial about eating habits and re-educate the young about the good in traditional Japanese food culture (i.e. healthful eating practices and the scientific importance of nutritional excellence) and the dangers of the American influence after WWII.

ICON_13351.png

Stop the love affair with rich, disease-causing staple of the meal i.e. The American Diet, instant noodles and other foods that sacrifices one's health in the process.

ICON_Rice-Bowl.png

Keep reminding yourself and people you care about to know about the dangers of their 'diet', even if ... they don't want to have their unhealthy pleasures interfered with.

Emphasize the need for "preventive diabetes, cardiology, and obesity" in early life, although it is a convoluted term, which means eating healthfully.  Notwithstanding, it is not entirely about restrictions and or stop eating white rice, kinds of pasta, and instant noodles.

AN EATING PATTERN FOR LIFE – NOT A “DIET”

Japan has used history, neuroscience, anthropology, psychology, and nutritional science to promote Eat For Life, a healthy eating habit, which is not about restrictions and or stop eating rice, pasta, instant noodle, and even The American Diet.

The primary message has always been about a healthy balance staple diet - 60% rice, pasta, instant noodle, etc. with 40% Japan's Konnyaku & Shirataki. Remember, it is not the rules of a ''diet". Neither does it revolve around sacrifice.

The eating pattern can work within the framework of any ethnic cuisine. It is not a list of foods you can and cannot eat, nor is it a series of menu plans to which you must adhere.

Following this pattern is not expensive, and it may even lower your food bills. It is certainly not a complicated process that involves weighing food, dishing out exactly measured portions, or calculating the nutritional content of every meal you eat.

" Eat appropriately with simple wisdom to attain better health is not an individual and personal choice. It is the choice of sustainable and resilient societies.

The notion of responsibility for health doesn't lie within a certain sector, a stakeholder group, or with the individual person. And Japan has broken down walls between societal arenas such
cities, workplaces, hospitals, schools, homes, food, healthcare sectors to showcase that the challenges within one's health can only be met by the integrated cross-sector approach. "

" Health is a difficult entity. Too often we wait until we are faced with a life-threatening health crisis to want health excellence. Most people would choose to disease-proof their body and look great now. They just never thought they could do it so easily with Japan's Konnyaku and Shirataki staple.

Picture yourself in phenomenal health and in excellent physical condition at your ideal body weight. Not only will your waist be free of fat but your heart will be free of plaque. "

" Good health is not merely the absence of disease. Good health assumes protection from disease in the future and can be predicted only by a healthy lifestyle and diet. You cannot buy your health; you must earn it through healthy living.

Visiting physicians, acupuncturists, chiropractors, homeopaths, naturopaths, osteopaths, and other health providers cannot make you healthy. You can receive symptomatic relief for your condition, but exercise and or treatments DO NOT make you healthy. "
